Can I order multiple items to compare and return the ones I don't want?Updated 3 hours ago

We understand the appeal of ordering in multiple colors or sizes to compare them side by side before committing — it's a perfectly natural way to shop, especially for a considered purchase. That said, we do have a policy in place that we want to make sure you're aware of before placing an order like this.

Our Comparison Order Policy

Only one item per comparison order is eligible for return. This applies regardless of how many items are ordered. In practice, it means:

  • If you order two items, you may return one. You will keep one.
  • If you order three items, you may return one. You will keep two.
  • Standard return conditions and fees apply to the eligible return item.

Why we have this policy

Stuart & Lau is a small, independent brand, and we do things a little differently — and we'd like to think a little more thoughtfully — than larger retailers. Demand for our products is consistently high, and managing our inventory carefully is something we take seriously. Limiting comparison returns is one of the ways we reduce unnecessary logistics, keep our operations lean, and ultimately keep our pricing as competitive as it is. It also ensures that customers who want a specific color or size have the best possible chance of finding it in stock. We believe this is the right way to operate — not just for the business, but for our customers as a whole.

Your options before we ship

If you've placed a comparison order and we've reached out to you, you have two paths forward:

1. Let both/all items ship. You'll receive everything as ordered, compare them in person, and return one through our standard returns process. Just bear in mind that only one item will be eligible for return.

2. Remove an item(s) before we ship. Your card has not been charged — we place an authorization hold only — so any adjustment at this stage is clean and seamless. You'll only ever be charged for what ships.
