What kind of leather do you use?Updated 13 days ago
We use full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, which is considered the highest quality grade of leather. Full-grain hides retain their natural surface — meaning the grain, texture, and character are left intact. Unlike chrome-tanned or heavily processed leathers that may look more uniform, full-grain leather has natural variation and develops a beautiful patina over time.
Because it is vegetable-tanned, the leather will:
Age and darken naturally with exposure to light, handling, and oils
Show unique character, including minor marks or tonal variations that come from the hide itself
Soften and develop rich depth over years of use
Patina beautifully, reflecting the owner’s routine and adventures
These are all hallmarks of premium leather and part of what makes each bag unique.
If you have any questions about caring for your leather or what to expect as it ages, we’re always here to help.
