My package is at Customs, can I refuse delivery?Updated 6 days ago
We understand that dealing with Customs can be frustrating or duties can sometimes catch a customer off-guard. Unfortunately, you cannot simply refuse delivery for packages that awaiting clearance through Customs. If a shipment is refused or left unclaimed, it will typically be destroyed or abandoned, and we are unable to issue a refund in that case. In the event that the package is returned to sender, this process can often take months as carriers prioritize outbound packages across their network and reverse logistics are much slower. If a package is returned back to us, we will deduct the return to sender fees and penalty surcharges from your refund.
International shipping works because all parties — sellers, carriers, and Customs authorities — rely on shipments being accepted and import duties being paid. If customers could routinely reject packages without consequence, it would make international shipping financially and logistically unworkable.
As a policy, we require that customers complete the Customs process so their package can be released and delivered. It is the customer's responsibility to track their shipment and coordinate with the carrier, if needed, to ensure the package clears customs and is delivered.
Rejecting or refusing delivery is not the same as creating a return. If you wish to return your item, please accept the package and then return it through our standard returns process (linked here)
If you need guidance on paying import duties or navigating Customs clearance, we’re happy to walk you through the process.
